Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) is one of the premier cricket governing provincial units affiliated to The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). MPCA is a regular participant in all domestic tournaments conducted by the BCCI.
MPCA is one of the oldest affiliates of the BCCI – since 1940’s. We cover the second largest State in India – the entire Madhya Pradesh having an area of about 3.08 lac square kilometers and 50 districts under our umbrella.
Before the independence of India, cricket was majorly patronised by provincial rulers. In our case, it was the 'Holkar' team that laid the foundation of our Association. Subsequently, we were known as 'Madhya Bharat Cricket Association' for few years. 1957 saw the formation of 'Madhya Pradesh' as a State of India. Since then we are operating as 'Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association'.
Promoting cricket, developing cricketers by nurturing them for the tough competition at the first class and International circuit, and creating easily accessible infrastructure to attract young cricketers, has been the main focus of MPCA since its inception.
MPCA has a grand legacy of cricketers being groomed with the efforts of the structured enterprise that we are today and beginning from the Holkar team. The first captain of the Indian Test side – Col. C K Nayudu was from our place. Capt. S Mushtaq Ali, the first Indian to score a Test century on foreign soil represented MPCA throughout his cricketing days. In the recent past, MPCA has contributed in shaping up the careers of renowned Indian cricketers like Narendra Hirwani, Rajesh Chouhan, Amay Khurasiya, Naman Ozha, Ishwar Pandey and few others. Avesh Khan, Venkatesh Iyer, Rajat Patidar in mens and Pooja Vastrakar and Soumya Tiwari in womens from MPCA, are the talent to watch for in future.
MPCA is the only provincial unit in India that can boast of having two International venues under control – one at Indore and other one at Gwalior. 'Holkar Stadium' at Indore is a self-developed property of MPCA. We are also developing own stadium at Gwalior and expect the unit to be ready in next few years. Till date, MPCA has successfully hosted 3 Test matches, 28 One Day Internationals, 4 T20 Internationals, and 9 IPL matches.

It is our continuous endeavour to extend best of cricketing facilities to the upcoming cricketers from our place. MPCA operates a cricket academy which provides regular coaching, systematic fitness management, specific nutrition, regular health check up, etc. to the potentially talented young cricketers. These youngsters are going to be a part of the supply chain for the higher grade teams of the State, and are the assets of MPCA in real sense.
We operate from Holkar Stadium, Race Course Road, Indore 452 003 (India).
