'C T Sarwate Award for Lifetime Achievement' : Mr. Ashok Jagdale
"Mr. Ashok Jagdale represented Madhya Pradesh in 76 first class matches and 7 List A matches from 1961 to 1980. In view of the average number of matches per season during his playing days, the matches played by him reflect his consistency and dependability as a player. He was a prolific right-hand batsman and a right arm fast bowler, having scored 2954 runs and captured 182 wickets in first class cricket. He undoubtedly excelled at all aspects of the game and was widely reckoned as the finest allround player for State cricket. It is widely believed that if One Day cricket was being played in India in his younger days as is being played today ,he would have represented India as a regular player with distinction. He was an enterprising captain of our team. After his performance in the competitive cricket circuit, he also contributed to cricket as a selector and also served MPCA as the Vice President. His elegant style of play was a real inspiration for several upcoming cricketers of the State. He truly deserves to be reckoned for his versatile contribution to the cricket of Madhya Pradesh. "
'Madhavrao Scindia Award for Lifetime Achievement' : Mr. RG Bidasariya
"Mr. Ramgopal Bidasariya is one of the senior most members of MPCA, both in terms of his connection with us as a member as well as in terms of age. Fondly known as 'Bhaijee' in cricketing circles, this gentleman is amongst the very few patrons of our State cricket who never played the game himself but remained a strong source of strength throughout. An engineer by education and a businessman by profession, he had a knack to be a pioneer in his professional field as well as the area of his passion - which is nothing else but Cricket. He was warmly attracted to cricket of Madhya Pradesh sometime close to 1980. He was a visionary with a strong desire to provide something exclusive to local cricket and cricketers. He achieved it by crafting an exceptional event of those years i.e. early 1980's in form of 'Bidasariya Trophy'. Slowly the local cricket in Madhya Pradesh was seen transformed to a rigorous field of competition. Several 'out of state' teams regularly participated in the tournament and this introduced the flavour of competitiveness among the local cricketers as well. Often, the players preferred to participate in 'Bidasariya Trophy' over few other tournaments played elsewhere. He did not restrict his contribution to local cricket to the extent of this tournament. He played a pivotal role to transform the ground of 'Industrial Training Institute' in Indore from near to a barren land to a cricket field with turf wickets using his own investment but for the betterment of aspiring cricketers. Very soon this ground played host to Ranji match which was again financed by 'Bhaijee'. The ground became a regular place for upcoming cricketers to hone their skills and several players ventured into competitive cricket for MP from this ground and a club that he benefactored. The goodwill for cricket of our State was largely created by the 'Bidasariya Trophy' and the cordial relations that he maintained with many Indian International cricketers paved way for few of them subsequently representing MP in National circuit. He served the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association as its Vice President for almost 14 years and was always a pillar of strength for MPCA and our cricketers when our Institution was highly under-resourced. His resourceful contribution to the cricket of Madhya Pradesh in terms of passion, patronage and perseverance is ever priceless..."
