It is not only about rewarding the talent but also motivating the upcoming potential. It is always our endeavour to attract and retain critical talent to grow. We try to be strategic and creative to retain and reward talent. 'C T Sarwate Award for Lifetime Achievement': Mr. Narendra Bagtharia
A cricketer of great repute, Mr. Narendra Bagtharia played 46 first-class matches between 1969-70 to 1983-84. He demonstrated his cricket skills right from the school days and was selected in national school team as well. Following his retirement from active play, his devotion to the game found new expression in equally vital roles off the field. As a coach, he mentored countless budding cricketers, instilling in them the values of discipline, integrity, and perseverance. His astute judgment and deep understanding of the game made him a valued selector, helping shape teams that carried forward the legacy of excellence. He also played role as a BCCI match referee. Reserved in speech, but remarkable in achievements, his lifelong dedication to the game has left an indelible mark on the cricketing landscape of Madhya Pradesh. MPCA is honoured to have such an illustrious personality as a Life Member and salutes his distinguished service to the game and the Association.
'Madhavrao Scindia Award for Lifetime Achievement' : Mr. Sandeep Mungre
"Mr. Sandeep Mungre, a true cricket aficionado, has dedicated more than five decades of selfless service to MP’s cricket - not for any accolades, but out of pure love and commitment. He has been a tireless volunteer during numerous international and domestic matches staged by MPCA — ever-present, ever-reliable, and ever-gracious. Amidst the hustle and glamour that surrounds international matches, he remained immersed in his duties - unmoved by distractions. His rare ability to maintain composure under pressure, coupled with a graceful command over complex situations, earned him the admiration and respect of both local and visiting players alike. As the member of the Managing Committee, and then as the Joint Secretary of MPCA, he offered his experience to steer the association with a steady hand. Colleagues recall his readiness to serve, his quiet efficiency, and above all, his passion for preserving the spirit of cricket. Few can claim such an enduring association, fewer still can match the depth of his contributions. With deep reverence, MPCA bestows the Lifetime Achievement Award upon a stalwart who has devoted life to the gentleman’s game. MPCA is honoured to have such an illustrious personality as a Life Member and salutes his distinguished service to the cricket and MPCA.”
