MPCA deeply condoles the sad demise of Mr. Vijay Nayudu

MPCA deeply mourns the sad demise of Mr. Vijay Nayudu, who left for the heavenly abode this afternoon at Mumbai.

Mr. Vijay Nayudu (79) was a former first-class cricketer from Madhya Pradesh and also led the MP Ranji team for 3 seasons (1968-69 to 1970-71). He played 47 first-class and 3 List A matches between 1960-61 to 1977-78. He was a dependable batsman who could also bowl effectively.

After retiring from his private sector employment, he enthusiastically involved himself in the administration of MPCA. He was the chairman of the “Cricket Development Committee’ of MPCA for many years. Several cricket-oriented schemes of MPCA were initiated under his guidance. He was the Vice President of MPCA (2010-12). He was the Chairman of the junior selection committee of MPCA for several seasons.

MPCA honoured him with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his illustrious contributions to MPCA and the cricket of Madhya Pradesh in the year 2021-22.

On behalf of the Office Bearers & the Managing Committee of MPCA, all our Members, fraternity of cricketers, and other associates of MPCA, we extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Mr. Vijay Nayudu.
